Student leaders and parents from throughout the diocese were present. The principal celebrant was the Most Reverend Vincent Long Van Nguyen, Bishop of Parramatta. It was a special event and an honour to be there with other teachers, students and parents from the diocese. It was an occasion for us to celebrate the role of Catholic Schools in the Parramatta Diocese in the mission of the Church. I have included the Bishop’s prayer from the Concluding Rite of the Mass as a prayer for you to say and share with others.
Lord, our God,
In your wisdom and love
you surround us with the mysteries of the universe.
In times long past you sent your prophets to teach your laws
and to bear witness to your undying love.
You sent us your Son to teach us by word and example
that true wisdom comes from you alone.Send your Spirit upon our school communities
and fill them with your wisdom and blessings.
Through Christ our Lord.
