On Tuesday 12th February, St Bernadette’s was represented by 19 excellent swimmers at the Cumberland Zone Carnival.
The weather has hot, the competition was hotter though hottest of all was the amazing performance of our swimmers!
Records tumbled, champions were crowned and our children cheered heartily for all of our competitors. Through outstanding team spirit and behaviour on the day, our team lived up to the excellent reputation which we have come to expect from St Bernadette’s.

On what was a hugely successful day, the following children qualified to represent St Bernadette’s at the Diocesan Swimming Carnival on Friday 22nd February at Blacktown:

- Raphael C ( 1st Junior Boys Relay)
- Damon K (1st 50m Freestyle, 1st 50m Backstroke, 1st 50m Breaststroke, 1st 50m Butterfly - Senior Boys Champion)
- Marcus K ( 4th 100m Freestyle, 1st 50m Freestyle New Zone Record, 1st 50m Backstroke, 2nd 50m Breaststroke, 1st 50m Butterfly - Junior Boys Runner Up)
- Liam M ( 3rd 50m Backstroke)
- Ryan R ( 1st Junior Boys Relay)

Kindergarten have been working with Dr Christine Preston from Sydney University within their science units. This term, they are learning all about the process of design and make. Last night our community spirit truly shone! ✨ We shared an incredible evening filled with a delicious BBQ, lively bush dancing, impressive whip cracking, and plenty of laughter. It was a fun, family-friendly event that perfectly captured what makes our community so special 🤠 Thank you BlackBerry Jam Bush Band, who travelled from Melbourne to bring authentic country tunes to Dundas Valley 👨🌾

Yesterday we joyfully celebrated the feast day of St Bernadette, our patron saint. The day began with a whole school mass where St Bernadette awards were awarded. After that, students spent some time in class reflecting on the inspiring story of St Bernadette and her unwavering devotion to the Lord. We spent the afternoon building community spirit with teachers vs student netball game, celebrity heads and practice for our bush dance. It was a truly uplifting day of reflection and fun!
