On Friday 30 August, we came together as a community and celebrated all of the special Dads, Grandfathers and male figures in the children lives.
The morning started with a shared BBQ breakfast hosted by our P&F committee followed by open classrooms where the children got to share time in the classroom with their loved male figures.
The afternoon finished with an assembly dedicated to all of the Father Figures and the Fathers Day Raffle.
The children delighted in sharing this day with their loved ones and all of the celebrations held.

Today we celebrated a huge success in raising awareness for Socktober and took part in a fun soccer shootout using sock balls, all while learning about the vital needs of Zambia and how we can make a tangible difference. Students were empowered to become global citizens, and donations can still be made via QKR. Thank you for your incredible support! The crazy socks added a fantastic touch to our event !!!

On Tuesday, students will participate in Socktober, an initiative by Catholic Mission that will support Zambia with much needed medical supplies. Year 4 students have created sockballs for a soccer shootout, teaching everyone about the value of lending a helping hand. Please consider making a donation through QKR to support this amazing cause! Thank you Bede Polding for hosting Kindergarten today for their excursion to your amazing school! They had a wonderful time learning about living things through the hands on experiences you provided. Strawberry picking and eating with icecream was a highlight! They loved learning about taking care of animals and life on the farm. Thank you for the sausage sizzle lunch to end an amazing day! 🐥🪿🐮🐷

Netball Gala day! What a fantastic day! The sun was shining and we got to play netball all day long! How could it not be a wonderful day? The boys and girls represented St Bernadette’s with amazing team spirit and fun competition. Thank you so much to the amazing coaches who trained the students and coached them on the day. We are very grateful for your time and enthusiasm.

Today we were invited to Ronald McDonald House to see our name written on the Superstar Fundraising wall…again!! Visiting the house is a truly humbling experience that fills our hearts with hope and inspiration. It is such a special place that provides a beacon of hope and support to sick kids and their families through very challenging times. Well done to our community for raising funds through Dance For Sick Kids 2025 to contribute to this incredible cause. Big congrats to DJ Louie who was also recognised for his amazing contributions 🎉
