Our Kindergarten students enjoyed being together for their first excursion to Calmsley Hill City Farm.
The students got to experience different aspects of life on a farm and meeting the different animals that live there.
The children met many farm animals as well as our native animals such as koalas, kangaroos and wombats. They got to participate in milking cows, whip cracking and watching a sheep sheering show, along with a tractor ride around the entire farm.
The hands on element of this excursion was a real highlight for many of the children!
As their teachers we were so delighted to see our students being so involved and trying new experiences, listening and participating throughout the entire day.
We had a wonderful day out!

Today our Faith In Action leaders visited Ronald McDonald House at Westmead. Today's visit was to empower our students with knowledge about the incredible work the house does to uplift and support sick kids and their families. We are extremely excited to announce that we will participate in Dance For Sick Kids in Week 4. Raising awareness and funds for this remarkable place.

This term, our Year 3 and 4 students have had the wonderful opportunity to learn about Darug culture through their involvement with the Jannawi Dance Clan. Over the past six weeks, students have been guided in both traditional and contemporary cultural dance practices, exploring storytelling through movement with a focus on the Australian Native Honeybee. Today, they were excited to share a dance that communicates the significance of the Native Honeybee and highlights the sustainable practices of the Dharug People when sourcing honey. Throughout the program, students have also developed an understanding of how music, props, and language play an important role in cultural storytelling.
